Maureen is a teacher of Spanish and has been affiliated with ILI since 1998. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Maureen earned her Master’s degree in Education Administration from Springfield College, a certificate of completion from the National Institute for School Leadership (NISL) and has over 25 years experience working in education in the USA and abroad.
Her interest in the international community stems from her experiences living and working abroad as a volunteer with the Peace Corps (Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico), Associate Director of AFS New England, and as a teacher of English in Japan and the Refugee Education and Employment Program (REEP) in Arlington, Virginia.
Maureen is a lifelong resident of western Massachusetts, has visited over 25 countries on 5 continents and is a Scrabble enthusiast.
