Host Family Coordinator for the Intensive English and TESOL Programs
After 25 years as a social worker specializing in the problems of abuse, neglect, and self-neglect of the elderly, Amy’s arrival at ILI in January 2007 represented a career change and a return to her passion for language learning and international study and contact.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and in Latin American and Caribbean Area Studies from SUNY-Binghamton, and a Masters in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work, NYC. She is fluent in Spanish and has lived and studied in France, Mexico, and Costa Rica.
