About Michael Deere
Michael Deere is an attorney with Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C., with a diverse practice that includes bankruptcy and estate planning. He is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts of Massachusetts and Connecticut, and an active member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
Prior to his current role, Michael was an Associate Professor of Philosophy at Salem State University, where for almost 20 years he taught logic, critical reasoning, and bioethics. During his tenure, Michael served as Chair of the department, helping to build the University’s first major program in Philosophy.
Michael holds a BA in Philosophy and Psychology from Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, a Ph.D in Philosophy from Pennsylvania State University, and a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School.
