About Maite Megía Céspedes
Maite is from Almería, Spain. She holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada (2020) and an MA in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language from Nebrija University (2022). She is currently a PhD student in the Languages, Texts, and Contexts program at the University of Granada and in the Hispanic Linguistics program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
Maite has been teaching English and Spanish since 2015 in a range of contexts, including language academies and programs serving refugees and immigrants. She currently teaches Portuguese at UMass. Outside the classroom, she enjoys learning new languages, listening to music, staying active, spending time with friends, and doing all kinds of crafts.
