About Lilian Autler

Lilian has been bridging language and culture for decades in her life and work and enjoys finding creative ways to engage learners and make complex topics accessible.  With a BA in Latin American Studies from Yale University and a MA in Urban Planning from UCLA, she has worked as a community development planner, researcher, educator and facilitator in many different settings – community organizations, unions, workplaces, farms.   Lilian recently completed the TESOL Certificate Program at ILI and teaches Spanish and ESOL in MA.

Lilian is also a writer and poet, and has taught creative writing, poetry and translation to adults and young people.   She also loves to practice yoga, swim and ride her bike, and is an avid salsa dancer.
