About Katie Lazdowski
Katie lives in Amherst with her husband and teenage son. She holds a BA in French from Colby College, an M.A.T. from Simmons College, and a PhD from UMass Amherst in Teacher Education and Curriculum Studies. Her love of French has brought her to France and Cameroon where she studied abroad, and to Mali, where she served as a Peace Corps volunteer. She began her career teaching French to middle and high school students, and is excited to return to the classroom at ILI.
In class she loves watching lesson plans come to life as students engage with the material and each other. Outside of class she enjoys time with her family, running, and baking.
