About Ashley Martins
Ashley Martins holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and History from the University of Vermont and a Masters of Education degree in Curriculum & Instruction. She has worked in the field of Multilingual Learner Education and Advocacy since 2008-09 teaching English during her time living abroad in Rome, then later supporting Afghan immigrants while interning with the Embassy of Afghanistan. From 2010-2023, Ashley taught English as a Second Language in Western Massachusetts and directed the English Language Education program for Agawam Public Schools. She has facilitated multiple SEI Endorsement courses as part of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s RETELL initiative and is the founder and lead consultant of Bridging Borders Educational Services.
In Ashley’s free time, she loves to go on adventures with her husband, two rambunctious sons, and golden retriever. She is also an avid swimmer, coffee drinker, reader, powerlifter, and yogi.
