About Morgan Handy
Morgan Handy is a dedicated Spanish Instructor at the International Language Institute in Northampton, MA. With a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, she brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Having lived, worked, and studied in Granada and Madrid, Spain, as well as traveled to Spanish-speaking countries in the Caribbean, Morgan’s teaching approach emphasizes authentic language use in real-world contexts.
With a focus on proficiency-based instruction, Morgan fosters active communication in the classroom, enabling students to develop their language skills. She also has experience in privately tutoring Spanish, providing personalized language guidance. Additionally, she possesses a novice proficiency in Italian and is enthusiastic about learning Japanese or another non-alphabetic language in the future. Morgan is also an artist, specializing in watercolor painting.
