ILI executive director Caroline Gear, spoke at the remote “Edviser” event sponsored by the International Association of Language Centres in mid-April. She joined a representative from Canada for the workshop, which focused on North American COVID/vaccination protocols and student visa policies. In the audience were professionals who place students from around the world in language schools like ILI.
Caroline explained federal U.S. COVID and vaccination protocols in general, emphasizing that each state has its own practices and providing information for audience members on how to research those protocols. She also described current student visa policies, anticipated changes under the Biden administration, and what all of this means for students wishing to study in the United States.
International students have long been central to ILI’s intensive English courses, and we look forward to seeing more students from around the world in Northampton as soon as circumstances permit.
