About Avery Hollander

Avery Hollander, a native Rhode Islander, is an experienced educator in the field of multilingual learner education. A certified TESOL educator, Avery has a variety of teaching experiences ranging from young children to adults, in both public school and non-profit contexts. Avery received her undergraduate degree in English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and her Master’s Degree in the Art of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages with a concentration in Teacher Training and Development from SIT.

Her latest research focused on fostering community in asynchronous ESL adult classes. Avery currently resides in NYC with her puggle, Norah Jones.
